Welcome on board Aeolus Aviation Academy is a strictly JAR compliant FTO (GR-FTO 008) orientated towards professional pilot training as well as Private Pilot Licencing for those who simply want to fly for fun. Aeolus operates out of several locations including Makedonia International Airport (LGTS) and Nea Kavala Municipal Airport in Polykastro, less than 20 minutes flight time away to the North West. These two locations offer our students the chance to experience both the complex environment of a busy international airport as well as the more relaxed airspace of a regional airport, perfect for initial training. Our specially designed ground school is conveniently located in Triadi, 5 km away from Makedonia Airport and offers two fully equipped class rooms, dedicated computer based training facilities (CBT) and an Avionics Workshop. Our Fleet Currently we offer training in AT-3, C172, PA28 Archer, PA28 Arrow and PA34 Seneca aircraft. All aircraft are equipped with brand new full IFR avionics packages and have been standardized on GNS430s as a generic NAV tool in the whole fleet. We provide extra training courses on the use of the GNS instrumentation, Traffic & Collision Avoidance Systems and also Weather Radar. Our Instructors Our instructors, both Ground and Flight, are drawn from a variety of academic, industrial, military and commercial aviation backgrounds. They are all highly qualified, expert in their chosen fields and all share a great passion for aviation.
