This course provides the necessary flight training and flight examination required by EASA Part FCL Instrument Rating on a Single or Multi-Engine Piston aircraft.

Description

The Single Engine Instrument Rating (SEP/IR), comprises of at least 15 hours Instrument Flight Training.

The Multi Engine Instrument Rating (MEP/IR), comprises of at least 11 hours Instrument Flight Training.

In addition to actual flights, 35 hours on FNPT II are required.

Prerequisites

Minimum Age : 17 years
Medical Certificate : Class II
Previous training :

PPL(A) with Night Rating or higher
50 Hours cross country as PIC

Theoretical training : IR or ATPL theory

Privileges

The privileges of an IR(A) holder are to fly aeroplanes under IFR with a minimum decision height of 200 feet (60M).

Contents

Option 1:

5 hours flight training with instructor on an IFR trainer on multi-engine aircraft
1 hour skill test on Multi-engine aircraft

Option 2:

2 hours flight training with instructor on an IFR trainer on multi-engine aircraft
3 hours synthetic flight training on an FNPT-II
1 hour skill test on Multi-engine aircraft
